False Idols
Ok...so tonight is the final sing-off between Carrie and Bo on American Idol. I am excited but I am conflicted. Bo is the better performer, but Carrie is the better singer. So, which matters most? When did true talent start giving way to pure showmanship (and it didn't start with Britney Spears)? So, which do you think is more important? Razzle-Dazzle or talent?

i thought the show was pretty good. they both had some difficulties with the original songs but the best performance of the night was carrie's last song. that was amazing. i thought bo was a heavy favorite going into tonight but he has a fight on his hands because carrrie was very good. topspinboy
I was pulling for Bo but after last night, I think those songs that they both sang were absolute TORTURE!

Come on people...vote for the long haired rock star....not the chubby over bleached blonde!! don't we have enough of those.....
So, Mrs. Rizk - what did you think of last night? I thought all the extras they added in were quite funny, and def helped to move the show along, but, I have to say that my favorite Idol of the season didn't even make it to the final two. Sure, Bo and Carrie were perhaps the most talented as singers, but my fav was Vonzel - WHAT A STAGE PRESENCE. No, she didn't have the best voice, and no, she didn't always know all the words, but out of everyone who performed all season, she was by far the most capitvating. She never once looked scared or intimidated by the audience - she drew them in - to EVERY performance. Anyhow, that's my two cents!
jen, i totally agree with what you have said. baby v was the bomb. i love her so much. i text voted for her every week sometimes like 100 times!! she is awesome, awesome, awesome. i have a CD i made of all of her performances on american idol. if you want a copy, let me know.
